Sealed bids will be received for the construction of 0.094 miles of bridge and approaches on the P.P. Wilson Road known as State Aid Bridge Program (SABP) Project No. SABP-03(01) in Amite County, Mississippi. The scope of work includes roadway items such as mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of the precast concrete bridge, excavation, placement of granular material and crushed stone, paving with hot mix asphalt, installation of guardrails, traffic striping, signage, and maintenance of traffic. Erosion control measures include seeding, mulch, solid sodding, installation of temporary silt fences, and other related items. Bridge work involves installation of test piles, pile load testing, prestressed concrete piling, preformed pile holes, precast concrete caps, precast and cast-in-place elements, reinforcement, and riprap installation. Bidders are required to submit a certified check or bid bond for 5% of the total bid, and any qualifying letters attached to proposals will render them irregular and not eligible for consideration. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest qualified bid for published quantities. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or national origin in consideration for the award. The project will be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction.
