Site work for a water / sewer project in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In general, this work consists of: Pre-television of lines to be repaired by point repair, service repair, combination point repair and service line reconnection, and/or cured-in-place pipe. Raising of Manholes to 1 inch above existing natural ground, as directed by Engineer. Pipe bursting of sanitary lines including service reconnections in kind, remove and replace external drop stack removal and replacements, and cleanout replacements. Rehabilitation of two previously sliplined sanitary sewer lines. Existing sliplined pipe will need to be removed prior to pipe bursting. Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines by point repair, service repair, combination repair (including drop stack replacement), and mechanical cleaning. Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines using the Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) method including external service reconnections in kind. Rerouting sanitary sewer service lines as needed within the easement to reconnect existing services. All rerouted sanitary sewer service lines must be directed by the Engineer and may include situations such as service lines crossing outside the easement or routing service lines around various obstructions. Television inspection of sewer lines after completion of rehabilitation work. Trench safety as required per Section 01561, throughout the project. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control when necessary or required. Contractor to note that these plans may not include all necessary Traffic Control Plans. Contractor to ensure traffic control is executed as necessary to facilitate work. Contractor is responsible for obtaining any and all permits required for street cuts and/or traffic control. Site restoration including removal and replacement of damaged pavement including subgrade, curb and gutter, pavement markings as necessary and sidewalks, driveways, concrete patios, pools, wooden decks, irrigation lines, turf, plants, shrubs, fences, trees, damaged traffic signaling equipment and other miscellaneous items in the easement or right of way. Any bypass pumping required to complete the work is incidental to the project. Coordinating with District Operations Staff and Engineer to reduce and maintain flow from lift stations into sanitary sewer manholes in order for rehabilitation work to be performed. Question Deadline 10/23/2025 writing to the Engineer, prior to 3 business days before the Bid Opening.
