The City of Artesia is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). The City of Artesia (City) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) that will guide efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen climate resilience, and advance equity. The selected consultant must demonstrate experience preparing climate action or adaptation plans for public agencies, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and measurable implementation strategies. Funded through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program, the CAAP will serve as a long-term roadmap for the City to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 or sooner, while addressing climate-related risks particularly those affecting transportation, infrastructure, and vulnerable populations.
