Renovation of a fire / police facility in Brampton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
* Award subject to final approval. Concrete Floor Slab Repairs at Apparatus Bay Duration in months: 4 This procurement is for Prequalified Contractors RFPQ2024-172 List of General Contractors. There is significant deterioration of the slab-on-grade at the apparatus bay in the form of cracking and spalling, specifically, along the trench drain and other floor drains. The grating at the trench/floor drains has corroded, and according to information provided, the grating is difficult to remove when cleaning/maintenance of the drains is required. Furthermore, additional cracking/spalling of the concrete directly adjacent to the trench/floor drains was reported to occur at times when the grating is forcefully removed to facilitate cleaning/maintenance of the trench/floor drains. Based on the information summarized above, it is recommended to replace all areas of deteriorated concrete, including the replacement of the existing corroded grating. Substantial completion is December 31, 2025.
