Sealed bids are invited for Contract 25-015.B1 for asphalt overlay on West Park Ave., east and west bound, between New York and Grand Ave. All major work must be completed at night between the hours of 9 PM and 5 AM. Bidders must acquire plans, specifications, and contract documents through the Department of Public Works, upon submission of a non-refundable $50 administration fee. Bids must comply with the Instructions to Bidders and include bid security equal to 10% of the total bid amount via certified check, bank check, or bid bond. Bidders are required to inspect the project site prior to submission to ensure complete understanding of the work. The completion date is 10 days after notice to proceed. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day will be charged for delays. Performance and payment bonds are required, each for 100% of the contract amount. MWBE participation goals are set at 5% each for MBE and WBE. Bids must include the New York State Vendor Questionnaire & MWBE Utilization Plan. Only the lowest responsible bidder, qualified by past satisfactory performance and capable of immediate commencement upon notification, will be awarded the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, or increase, decrease, or omit portions of the specifications. Bids from individuals or firms in arrears or in default to the City, or those with past unsatisfactory performance, will not be considered.
