Only prequalified asbestos abatement contractors will be eligible to provide asbestos abatement services to the District over the period specified. In addition, only prequalified asbestos abatement contractors will be permitted to perform work as asbestos abatement sub-contractors on District projects. Typically, the District's asbestos abatement projects range between $5,000 and $50,000; although, in some instances projects could exceed this range. The majority of asbestos abatement work will likely be performed as a subcontractor to a General, Mechanical or Electrical Contractor. Note: Only those employees having completed confined spaces training and providing proof of same will be allowed to enter designated areas. Certificates of the personnel entering the designated spaces must be provided at time of entry. All regulations and procedures pertaining to entering and working in confined spaces must be observed and carried out. No exceptions will be allowed.
