The Black Hawk County Conservation Board gives notice that sealed bids will be received for asphalt surfacing of various parking lots and lanes at Hickory Hills Park located at 3338 Hickory Hills Road, LaPorte City, IA 50651, McFarlane Park located at 13619 King Road, LaPorte City, IA 50651 The project and term of contract shall commence following award of contract and be completed by or before June 15, 2026. Each bidder shall accompany the bid with a bid security by a bid bond, cash deposit, cashier's check or a certified check payable to Black Hawk County Conservation Board in the amount of not less than 5% of the total proposed project. Bid security shall be returned to bidders who were not awarded the contract, upon signing of the contract. The award of contract shall follow at a later date following an examination of the bids for accuracy. Upon signing of the contract, a Certificate of Insurance naming Black Hawk County as additional insured shall be required and submitted before work commences and remain in effect until the project is complete and accepted. Upon signing the contract, a Performance Bond in the amount equal to 100% of the contract amount shall be required and submitted before work commences. The Performance Bond shall be in effect until the contract has been satisfied and accepted by the President of the Black Hawk County Conservation Board.
