Site work for a development in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for site work for a conservation development.
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is requesting written bids for project management, superintendence, labor, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and appurtenances required for vegetation and brush mulching services on various locations within the Fort Gibson Wildlife Management Area, Wagoner County, Oklahoma. The scope of work covers 160 acres for the removal of underbrush in mature woodlands and overgrown areas. Use of forestry mulching equipment (minimum 100 HP, rubber tracks or tires, forestry mulching head, with operator) is required. Work involves removal of woody vegetation including Chinese Privet, Cedar, Hackberry, Elm, and Ash to reclaim thick understories and wildlife openings. Trees 10" dbh or less are to be masticated while leaving 4-5 trees per acre. All oak and pecan trees are to be left, all cedars are to be mulched regardless of size, and all removed trees and brush must be cut to ground level with no stumps remaining. Mulch must be no larger than one's arm in diameter and length. Equipment must be low ground pressure, capable of mulching woody vegetation. Specific instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be submitted by email to the specified contact. - Bidders must sign, date, and return the bid form provided. - Bidders must be registered as a supplier to do business with the State of Oklahoma. - General liability insurance and workers compensation or exemption is required. - Comply with Federal "Build America Buy America" (BABA) requirements as applicable. - Work is to be completed as directed by ODWC personnel and within the seasonal window from December 15, 2025 to March 1, 2026. - The contract is non-binding and acreage is an estimate; bids are to be placed per acre. - All work must comply with applicable codes, standards, ordinances, and laws.
