Site work for a water / sewer project in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested for Project No. 47680-C, which consists of Construction Work to replace water mains at the State Office Building Campus, 1220 Washington Ave, Albany, NY. Bids must be submitted with a bid security of $90,000. Successful bidders are required to provide both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond each for 100% of the contract amount, estimated between $3,000,000 and $4,000,000. Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation is set at a goal of 30% (15% for MBE and 15% for WBE). There is also a 3% participation goal for certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs). All bidders must comply with State Finance Law requirements and are expected to affirm their understanding on the bid form. Projects where design commenced after January 1, 2020, and contracts over $5,000 must also adhere to special MWBE bidding rules. The substantial completion date is 300 days after agreement approval by the Comptroller. Bidding documents are available on Bid Express. Bidders may visit the job site at the designated date and time if scheduled in advance, and must observe security protocols. The Office of General Services retains the right to reject any or all bids.
