The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, and related tasks required for the "Ohio County Schools, Area Technology Center - Welding Exhaust Improvements" project. This involves acceptance of all existing conditions, which must be inspected by all bidders prior to bidding, inclusion of any alternates as defined in the contract documents, and all general construction, mechanical, and electrical work specified. The work specifically includes the removal of existing exhaust fans, motors, and associated ducts serving individual welding booths, and the provision and installation of a new ventilation exhaust unit and new ductwork to serve the individual welding booths, including all related mechanical and electrical work as indicated in the contract documents. Proposals must be submitted on the forms contained in the Project Manual and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked appropriately. Bid documents may be obtained from Maco-Evansville Blue for a deposit, with options for additional or electronic copies as outlined. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of at least 5% of the bid. A performance and payment bond equal to at least 100% of the contract price is required from the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities and to reject any and all bids. Preference will be given to resident bidders as per Kentucky statutes, and federal wage rates are not applicable. Non-conformance with these requirements may result in bid rejection.
