Renovation of a transportation facility in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority will receive bids on a general contract for the BNIA - Security Desk. The project consists of one (1) contract with the scope of work divided into Base Bid and one (1) Deduct Alternate bid item; BNIA - Security Desk. The project will be implemented under one (1) Notice to Proceed (NTP) as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Base Bid work of this project provides for the modification of an existing screen wall and installation of an elevated security platform located on the Departures level at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) Terminal. Deduct Alternate 1 removes the ballistic-rated paneling from the wall construction. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at online or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified as described in Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 Summary of Work. The NFTA goals for this procurement are 10% MBE, 20% WBE, & 6% SDVOB. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
