The notice to proceed should be issued soon. ** Project consists of site work and utilities (Phase I) for approximately 48 acres as support of future soccer fields, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, playgrounds, parking facilities, restroom facilities and other parks and recreation improvements at Liberty Park in Grovetown, Georgia. Work includes a final as-built topographic survey of the completed project by a GA Licensed Land Surveyor. Bidders must obtain specifications/contract documents from Johnson, Laschober and Associates, P.C. Bidders must be verified plan holders and must have purchased bidding documents in order to submit a bid. For non-planholders, a non-refundable deposit is required for the bidding instruments. A copy of the State of Georgia General Contractor's license must accompany all bids, along with a bid bond or bid security (cashier's check acceptable) in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid. If awarded the contract, the bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All bonds must be issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia with a minimum "A+" rating by Best Insurance Rating Service. Letters of credit will not be accepted. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Any objections to the specifications/contract documents should be filed in writing prior to bid opening. The contractor is responsible for verifying issuance of addendums or contract additions/deletions prior to bid opening.
