As of November 26, 2025 this project has been awarded. Douglas County Project 2017-58 consists of removing an existing 8'x4'/8'x10' x 73' ft RCB and installing an 8'x4'x83' Precast RCB with Precast Sloped End Sections. Items include Contractor Staking, Clearing & Grubbing, Grading, Common Excavation (Contractor Furnished), Rip Rap, Entrance Pipe with End Sections, Aggregate Base (AB-3), HMA Commercial Grade (Class A) Base, HMA Commercial Grade (Class A) Surface, Surfacing Material (AB-3), Seeding, and Traffic Control. This project is located on Douglas County Rte 460 (N700 RD) between E2000 and E2100 Roads. Project 2019-53 consists of removing an existing 16'x6.5'x18' (Composite) Steel Span Culvert and installing an 18'x6'x32' CIP RCB with Flared Wingwalls. Items include Contractor Staking, Clearing & Grubbing, Shoo-fly construction, Rip Rap, Erosion Control, Seeding, and Traffic Control. This project is located on N700 RD west of E300 RD. The bid shall contain all information required by the solicitation, priced as required, and submitted no later than the exact opening time and date specified (unless extended by addendum). No other method of submitting bids will be accepted. Late submissions will not be permitted Each bidder shall be required to deposit with such bidder's bid a CERTIFIED CHECK, CASHIER'S CHECK or a BID BOND for not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base bid as a guarantee that if awarded the Contract, the bidder will enter into a Contract and give bond as required. Said check or bid bond shall be made payable to the Douglas County treasurer. The Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County, Kansas reserves the right to reject nonconforming bids and to waive technicalities, and to award the contract to the bidder which is the lowest responsible bidder. Project 2017-58 (Culvert 07.00N-20.53E) anticipated Early Notice to Proceed (NTP) for will be issued on Monday May 4, 2026. The anticipated Late Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be issued on Monday August 3, 2026. This project shall be completed in 60 Working Days. The successful bidder before entering into a Contract and within twenty-one (21) days after notice of the award of the Contract, shall execute a Statutory Bond and a Performance and Maintenance Bond in the form prescribed by the County and in the penal sum of the amount of the Contract, with a Surety to be approved by the County. The Statutory Bond and the Performance and Maintenance Bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all indebtedness incurred for all labor, materials and supplies furnished therefore.
