Drawings, specifications, bid forms, contract, and bond documents are available for examination and purchase. Bidders must submit bids on Standard Proposal Forms, enclosing them in sealed envelopes labeled with the bidder's information and the project name, addressed to the Borough Clerk. Each bid must include a non-collusion affidavit, a certified check or bid bond for at least ten percent of the bid amount (no more than $20,000 and not less than $500), and a consent of surety for 100 percent of the bid amount from a licensed surety company. Bidders must comply with Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity, New Jersey Business Registration, and Local Public Contracts Law requirements. Proof of business registration for contractors and all subcontractors is required, and contractors must notify subcontractors of this responsibility. Bids are irrevocable for sixty days. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. Federal Prevailing Wage Rates apply. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractors Registration database and have a DUNS number, and must comply with Section 3 Program requirements and all Union County Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) guidelines.
