Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Walnut, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; retail development; and retail development.
Work consists of demolition of the existing buildings at 130 South Main Street and 132 South Main Street, Walnut, Illinois. This includes removal and proper disposal of all rubbish, disposal of demolition debris in a legal manner, and providing a level surface matching existing ground when finished. Only clean debris as defined by the Illinois EPA will be permitted as fill for this project. Bidders must comply with all ordinances of the village of Walnut regarding demolition. Proof of liability insurance is required, and the bid must include business name, contact person, and phone number. The successful bidder must comply with the Act Regulating Wages of Laborers, Mechanics or other Worker Employed in any Public Works, commonly known as the Prevailing Wage Act, and applicable requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope plainly marked "Demolition Bid." The Park District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bids or the bidding process.
