Carver Complex North - Psychology and Counseling Office Renovation: This is an Interior Renovation of an Existing Classroom to Convert It Into an Office Suite on the Alabama a & M Campus. Includes Selective Demolition, Reconfiguration of Partitions, Updated Finishes, Mechanical and Electrical System Upgrades to Meet Current Codes and University Standards. A Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Payable to Alabama a & M University in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Amount of the Bid, but in No Event More Than $10,000, Must Accompany the Bidder's Proposals in the Amount of $100,000 or More. Performance and Payment Bonds and Evidence of Insurance Required in the Bid Documents Will Be Required at the Signing of the Contract. All Bidders Bidding in Amounts Exceeding That Established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors Must Be Licensed Under the Provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and Must Show Evidence of License Before Bidding or the Bid Will Not Be Received or Considered by the Architect (Engineer); the Bidder Shall Show Such Evidence by Clearly Displaying His or Her Current License Number on the Outside of the Sealed Envelope in Which the Proposal is Delivered. THE FACILITY WILL BE RECONFIGURED TO ACCOMMODATE THE PSYCHOLOGY AND COUNSELING OFFICE SUITE, WITH UPGRADES TO BOTH INFRASTRUCTURE AND INTERIOR FINISHES TO MEET CURRENT FUNCTIONAL AND AESTHETIC STANDARDS. 2. INSTALLATION OF NEW INTERIOR FINISHES INCLUDING FLOORING, WALL TREATMENTS, AND CEILING SYSTEMS. REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION OF NEW INTERIOR DOORS TO MEET ACCESSIBILITY AND DESIGN STANDARDS. INSTALLATION AND REUSE OF NEW LIGHTING FIXTURES THROUGHOUT THE RENOVATED SPACE TO ENHANCE FUNCTIONALITY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY. 3. RECONFIGURATION AND MODIFICATION OF EXISTING MECHANICAL SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT THE NEW LAYOUT AND USAGE REQUIREMENTS. 4. The new layout will feature a private office, a research lounge, and a dedicated training room.
