Site work, paving and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Lombard, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The project includes the renovation of two playgrounds, constructed under one bid package and awarded to a single contractor. Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, playground under drainage, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, walks and paving, engineered wood fiber playground surfacing, site furnishings, playground equipment installation, landscape planting, and turf grass seeding. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the contractor s name and address, and the project name on the face of the envelope. Bidders are required to submit bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashiers Check in the amount of 10% of the base bid, payable to the Lombard Park District. The successful bidder shall be required to pay and to agree to pay no less than the prevailing rate of wages pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act for the locality of the Lombard Park District (DuPage County) to each laborer, worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract. The Lombard Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Lombard Park District.
