Working plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
**As of December 29, 2025, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all materials and performing all work connected with the Fayette County Airport Aeronautics Economic Development Fund Hangar project. The project is for the construction of a 2-bay hangar with a shell space for a future office attached to the south side. The hangar bays include large diameter fans, LED lighting and bifold doors. The site work will include the construction of an asphalt apron expansion with a trench drain, ADA concrete parking, and a gravel entrance drive. Specifications and project materials can be reviewed at designated locations or downloaded from the planroom website. To submit a qualified bid, specifications must be obtained from the specified website, and bidders must be on the official list. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Tennessee law, and the bidder's name, license number, classification, and expiration date must be marked on the envelope containing the bid. Each proposal should include a bidder's bond from an acceptable surety company or a cashier's or certified check for not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. A 100% contract bond will be required. Bidders must meet employment and minimum wage requirements under the contract. There is a 9.9% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the project, with specific certification requirements. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for discussing the scope of the project and answering questions. Attendance by an appropriate bidder representative is required. The right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities is reserved. Late bids will be returned unopened. Bids must remain open for ninety (90) calendar days after opening for acceptance or rejection. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Addendum #1 (base bid estimated quantities document) has been issued
