Site work for a water / sewer project in Graham, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work consists of providing professional engineering services for the design, permitting, and construction of repairs for the Graham-Mebane Lake spillway. Tasks include evaluation and design of spillway improvements and repairs, design of a temporary bypass system for construction activities, preparation of final drawings and specifications, permit applications, preliminary and final cost estimates and construction schedule estimates, preparation of technical criteria and design data for federal funding applications, coordination with outside funding agencies, construction contract administration and observation, preparation of as-built documents, operating and maintenance manuals, updates to the emergency action plan to include the new construction and meet current inundation modeling standards, and provisions for future lake expansion within the spillway design. The consultant should meet liability insurance requirements and be prepared for the project scope to be negotiated, with the potential for expansion to additional dam or spillway work at the site during or after the project. Bidders must submit electronic responses not exceeding 20 pages (excluding specified sections) and demonstrate qualifications, project experience, and understanding of the project. The evaluation will consider firm and team qualifications, management ability, relevant experience, technical approach, and understanding of the scope.
