Site work and paving for a road / highway in West Point, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
The project referred to as "Road 18 Overlay" includes all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for the construction of approximately 1 mile of a 2-inch hot mix asphalt overlay. This includes 2-inch cold milling, traffic control, pilot car, and other related incidental work. NDOT specifications must be met. Sealed bids must be plainly marked as "Road 8 Overlay" and delivered or mailed to the Cuming County Clerk. Each bidder must submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of Cuming County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five percent of the Bid Proposal. Bidders must also include an estimated time of beginning and completion for the project with their proposal. Within ten days of contract award, the successful bidder must furnish a surety bond or bonds equal to or greater than the contract amount, acceptable to the Cuming County Board of Supervisors. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive irregularities. Contracts will be awarded according to the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding requirements. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability/handicap.
