Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Surprise, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The project includes construction services for Beardsley Canal Check and Turnout Structures, located at the intersection of 147th Avenue and the MWD Beardsley Canal. The work consists of constructing one precast concrete Check Structure (nine pieces), two precast Turnout Structures, and two precast Flow Measurement Structures. The Check Structure will have three 6-foot-wide by 4-foot-tall fabricated rectangular gates, reinforced concrete inlet and outlet slabs/cutoff walls, and concrete canal lining transitions both upstream and downstream. The turnout structures will have 30-inch canal gates. All irrigation gates will be automated with electronic actuators, remote SCADA control, bulkheads, and will be solar/battery powered. There will also be an irrigation bypass element or temporary canal modifications upstream to protect the construction area from flooding and nuisance flows during winter storm events in the Beardsley Canal. Construction is limited to the MWD's dry-up period between December 2025 and February 2026. Estimated construction cost is approximately $1.5 million. Interested firms should obtain the RFQ for SOQ submittal requirements and deliver their Statements of Qualifications by the stated deadline to be eligible for consideration.
