Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Dry Prong, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.
**As of December 17, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** This Project Consists Of Renovating A Portion Of The Existing Dry Prong Community Center. Approximately 655 S.f. Of The 2,813 S.f. (heated) Building Is To Be Renovated To Be Used As Offices For The Local Police. A New Partition Wall Will Be Constructed To Separate The New Police Station From The Existing Community Center. The Existing Building Is A Pre-engineered Metal Building On A Concrete Slab. Base Bid - Includes All Work To The Portion Of Building That Receives Alterations For The Police Station Except For The New Mechanical Work. Questions about this procedure shall be directed to the Designer at Ballard CLC, Inc. 1009 Bayou Place Alexandria, LA 71303 Telephone: (318) 445-6571 Sealed bids are requested for the alteration of the Community Center for conversion into a Police Station for The Village of Dry Prong. Complete Bid Documents are available in electronic form without charge from Ballard CLC, Inc. All bids must be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be accepted from Contractors licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Contractors must comply with all provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt, except as per LA. R.S. 38:2214. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
