The project involves comprehensive infrastructure upgrades at the Beckley VA Medical Center to support EHRM implementation. Work includes electrical improvements such as panel upgrades, normal and emergency power, bonding, UPS installation, and integration with the Building Management System. HVAC systems will be upgraded, and existing spaces will be reconfigured, expanded, and renovated, including demolition, new construction, finishes, and cabling to develop telecommunications rooms and ensure full coverage for each floor of every building. Communication infrastructure will be enhanced with new data outlets, patch panels, and Cat 6A cable upgrades. Additional tasks include physical security improvements, installation of a fiber backbone across the campus and between buildings, providing a diversified WAN path, and hazardous material abatement. Infection control measures will be implemented as required by construction documents. Demolition and hazardous material abatement will be performed in accordance with project specifications.
