The City of North Port is requesting sealed bids to secure the services of an experienced, professional, licensed, and qualified Contractor capable of providing construction services in accordance with the inflow and infiltration (I/I) mitigation of sanitary sewers and manholes. The City intends to select one Contractor for I/I rehabilitation services associated with a US Department of Housing and Community Development Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) through FloridaCommerce. The types of rehabilitation work anticipated include sewer line cleaning, manhole rehabilitation, manhole lining systems, cured-in-place pipe lining and spot repairs, grouting lateral connections, and post-rehabilitation CCTV inspection. This federally assisted project is subject to Federal Labor Standards including the Davis-Bacon Act, Copeland Act, 24 CFR 85.36, and Section 3 & M/WBE provisions. Laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors must be paid wages at rates not less than prevailing rates as required, and the prime contractor is responsible for wage compliance and documentation.
