Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.
This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by BC Transit (the "Owner") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Construction Management for Services and Construction for Battery Electric Bus Charging Infrastructure and Facility Upgrades - Regional District of Nanaimo Transit Facility (RDNTF) (the "Project"), as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the "Deliverables"). This Project is a major infrastructure initiative to design and construct upgrades that optimize operational efficiencies at the Nanaimo Transit Centre located at located at 6300 Hammond Bay Rd, Nanaimo, British Columbia (the "Facility"). This Project will increase the capabilities of the Facility to support a mixed CNG and battery electric bus ("BEB") fleet by installing Direct Current (DC) fast chargers and associated electrical infrastructure. The Project may also seek to install infrastructure within the maintenance buildings to support new maintenance requirements for a battery electric bus fleet.
