The contractor shall provide all qualified personnel, materials, equipment, technical expertise, tools, travel expenses, supervision, transportation, and necessary parts to perform annual comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair services for bathrooms, kitchen, and wet areas at the Phoenix VA Health Care System. A supervisor must be on-site at all times during the project. A separate Quality Assurance (QA) person shall inspect, test, and report weekly to the government project manager, detailing subcontractor performance and findings. The QA and superintendent must be different individuals unless otherwise approved. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products must be submitted prior to use. Work includes pre-restoration tasks such as removal of floor coatings, caulking, polyurethane, and replacement of partitions or impediments. Grout sawing may be required where grout depth is insufficient for permanent bonding. The contractor will clean, sanitize, and prepare floors for the SaniGlaze restoration process, which includes emulsifying and extracting contaminants and odors, applying a nonporous polymer coating to grout lines, and applying a chemical-resistant coating to shield floors from future contaminants. An Everglaze maintenance program will be established. Floor work will be performed in buildings 1, 8, 16, 21, 23, 34, and ACC.
