Update: The project is under construction, according to city ??capital improvement website. Time frame: March 2024 – December 2025 Cost: 56.4 million dollars Funding sources: Collin County, City of Frisco 2. Construction of Hillcrest Road Project: The project will build a four-lane divided road from Panther Creek Parkway to PGA Parkway. Update: The project is under construction and is headed for completion next year. Time frame: March 2024-June 2025 Cost: $5.99 million Funding source: the city of Frisco 3. Universal Parkway construction Project: The project will create a new two-lane road from Dallas Parkway to Panther Creek Parkway in anticipation of Universal Kids Resort, which is expected to open in 2026. Update: The project is under construction and is on track for completion at the end of this year. Time frame: September 2023-December 2024 Cost: 12.94 million dollars Funding source: the city of Frisco Future projects 4. Custer Street Light Assembly Project: The intersection at Custer Road and Gartner Road will see a new traffic light installed. Update: The project is in the design phase. The design phase was expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Widening of Teel Parkway Project: The project will stretch along Teel Parkway from Stafford Middle School to Olive Branch Drive. The project will widen the road from two lanes to four lanes, according to Frisco's capital improvement database. Update: The project is in the planning stage. Time frame: September 2025 – December 2026 Cost: 10 million dollars Funding source: the city of Frisco 6. Coit Road at Charismatic Parkway light installation Project: A new traffic signal will be added to the intersection at Coit Road and Charismatic Parkway, according to the city's capital improvement website. Update: The project is in the design phase. The project was supposed to start construction at the end of June. Installation of Main Street traffic lights Project: A new traffic light will be added to the intersection at Main Street and Kings Ridge Road. Construction of Frisco Road Project: The project will build a four-lane divided road along Frisco Road from Cobb Hill Drive to Panther Creek Parkway. Time frame: TBD Cost: 8.71 million dollars Funding source: the city of Frisco ------------------------------ Pavement rehabilitation on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) southbound lanes from Harry Hines Blvd to IH-635. Work includes milling of existing overlay, sealing of joints in underlying pavement, application of geogrid, new asphalt overlay, removal of trench drains, installation of valley gutters, work zone pavement markings, pavement markings, and fog sealing of asphalt shoulders.
