The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids from interested parties for the rehabilitation of one home located in Delaware County. Work will be completed according to the work write-up. The job must be completed in 7 working days, with work commencing within two weeks of notification. Liquidated damages of $100.00 will be charged for each working day exceeding the contract end date. To be considered responsive or responsible, the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up must be fully completed. Bidders must submit proof of TERO certification to receive preference. The successful bidder will be required to comply with Tribal rules and regulations and TERO, including applicable fees. Award will go to the lowest, most responsive bidder according to HACN Procurement Policy and is subject to available funding. Bids must be received by the stated deadline, and it is the bidder's responsibility to ensure their delivery. Bids will be accepted from both Indian and Non-Indian bidders. HACN reserves the right to determine if a bid meets stated requirements and to award the purchase order in the best interest of HACN. Bidders are responsible for all preparation and submission costs. No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after the due date. HACN reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Indian preference will only be given to those who provide current TERO certification. Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act applies, giving preference to Indian Organizations and Indian Owned Economic Enterprises to the greatest extent feasible. TERO requirements and fees apply, including the labor agreement and daily fees for non-Indian employees working on the project.
