Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brookhaven, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project proposes to reconstruct 2.48 miles of NY347 (Nesconset Highway) from Old Town Road to NY25A in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County to improve safety and travel for vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users. Work will include but not be limited to adding a thru lane in each direction, drainage system improvements, intersection improvements, a shared use path and sidewalks will be added. NYSDOT Region: 10 Long Island The current status of the project is Future Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Winter 2032/2033. Construction is expected to begin in Winter 2032/2033. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2034/2035. As of October 18, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2032. NYDOT : NY347 Reconst Old Town Road to NY25A *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
