The project consists of the installation of one (1) 125kW natural gas generator at the City of Beasley's wastewater treatment plant. The project consists of the installation of one (1) 125kW natural gas generator at the City of Beasley's wastewater treatment plant located at 7827 Emerson Road in Beasley, Texas. Bidders must submit a bid bond, cashier's or certified check payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beasley, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid submitted as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bonds and guarantees in the forms provided within fifteen (15) days after Notice of Award of contract to him. Bids submitted without the required security will not be considered. Question Deadline 11/03/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Emergency Management under the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. The successful Bidder will be required to purchase and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as required by Article 5160, V.A.T.C.S., as amended by H.B. 344, passed by the 56th Legislature, Regular Session, 1959. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended, debarred, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids and Bidders using subcontractors must solicit such firms in the subcontracting process. The City of Beasley reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Beasley for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the Bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award.
