Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Burbank, California. Design plans call for the demolition of a fitness / recreation center; for the construction of a 28,000-square-foot fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a 5,000-square-foot theater / auditorium.

This is a multi-phased project that will ultimately result in the renovation of George Izay Park. The City Council approved the George Izay Park Master Plan on October 11, 2022. The first segment of this project will include a new recreation center, a performing arts center, and new exterior park restrooms. Funding request includes California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) analysis and Construction Document Development. This phase also includes engaging Project Management services to represent the Department The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This project is in the design phase until Spring 2027, with an estimated completion of 2030. Information regarding a timeline for bidding has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
