The City of South Jordan is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide curbside collection and disposal of solid waste and curbside collection and delivery of recyclable waste services for the City and its residents. The initial contract term will be for seven years, with options to renew for one 2-year extension. Provision of solid waste and recyclable waste services will begin July 1, 2026. Presently, the City provides weekly curbside collection of approximately 32,000 containers of solid waste at 25,000 separate addresses as well as weekly curbside collection of approximately 25,000 recyclable waste containers. It is anticipated that these can counts will increase by 3% annually due to residential growth within the City. The City currently owns and maintains all curbside waste containers and performs all billing. Furthermore, all City-owned facilities and parks will require the use of front load garbage service to approximately 15 different locations.
