Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a road / highway.

Aqam Lands and Natural Resource Department is seeking quotes to support timber salvage and wildfire restoration work. Anticipated work activities include timber harvesting/processing, road upgrading/building, rehabilitation and fire guard re-habilitation from fire suppression activities. Work will be conducted primarily within Kootenay IR #1. Safety practices should be outlined by contractors (noting that there hazards of working in a 2.5 year old burnt stand) such that all safety practices and standards with required PPE are met as per WorkSafe BC. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all their own equipment and necessary PPE. Contractors will be given paper or georeferenced PDF maps of block harvest plans, haul routes, and fire guards for rehabilitation. Bi-weekly progress updates will be required to ensure operations proceed in a timely manner. The anticipated work is planned for the winter months (Jan 2026 - April 2026) with the contractor ensuring all necessary safety equipment for winter operations is procured. The targeted completion date for the work is April 1, 2026. Danger tree assessments adjacent to the planned roads and landings has been completed and will not be required. The scope of work includes the following: Approximately 18,700 m3 of ground based harvesting/skidding /processing and decking (~184 ha). Quoted as $ / m3 Approximately 38,700 m3 loaded and hauled to acceptable mill. (Skookumchuck or Elko) Quoted as $ / m3 Re-habilitation of all newly constructed roads (~2,670 m) Quoted as $ / metre Fire guard Re-habilitation (one fire guards, ~800 m).
