Site work for a civil project in Miami Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000402152 Pump Station 24 (PS24) was initially installed as part of the Bayshore Neighborhood No. 8 drainage improvements project during 2015/2016. PS24 consists of a stormwater duplex at W 23rd Street and North Bay Road in Miami Beach, with a design capacity of 11,520 gallons per minute (GPM) per pump. The existing stormwater system includes two vortex structures, a trash rack with an emergency bypass, a dissipator box, and an outfall structure. The existing discharge pipes from the station consist of two parallel pipes of 20 inches each and a bypass pipe of 36 inches. Downstream of the dissipator box and before the outfall, the pipes are 42-inch and 36-inch. To protect Biscayne Bay, the City of Miami Beach is proposing, with this scope, the installation of one water quality pump station and two pressurized wells. This improvement is designed to sequester contaminants before discharge into the Bay, providing treatment for a portion (i.e., the first flush of runoff) of the discharge collected by PS24. The Work set forth within these Contract Documents includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals necessary to complete the required Work described here, including all appurtenant work, complete, tested, and ready for operation, including temporary utilities and facilities as needed, all surveying work for layout construction and as-builts, all in conformance with these Contract Documents and City of Miami Beach Public Works Standards. This project is part of a legal agreement between the City and the Florida Department of Environmental Resources.
