The County of Orange, OC Waste & Recycling, (hereinafter referred to as County) is requesting competitive bids from qualified vendors (hereinafter referred to as Bidder) for Potable Water Hauling Services. The awarded Contract, (hereinafter referred to as Contract) will be between the County and awarded Bidder, (hereinafter referred to as Contractor) in accordance with the model contract terms, conditions and scope of work. Contractor shall deliver approximately 10,000 gallons of drinking water on an as-needed basis; Water shall meet State of California Standards for drinking water. Delivery will be made by a licensed water hauler; license shall be issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services Food & Drug Branch (FDB) as required by California Health & Safety Code (H&SC) sections 111070 and 111195. Contractor is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses and certificates applicable prior to, and throughout life of Contract. Contractor is responsible for all liability regarding health and safety issues related to the water delivered. Contractor will obtain potable water from a source provided by the County of Orange, deliver and fill tank using a fitting compatible with a standard 2" female quick connect fitting on the tank. Upon recommendation of Contract award, Bidder will be required to submit the following documents within seven (7) days of County notification, unless otherwise specified in the solicitation: Insurance: Certificate(s) of Insurance, including additional Insured Endorsement(s); refer to Model Contract, Article-Insurance W-9 Form: Current signed W-9 (Taxpayer ID No & Certification), which includes Contractor's Legal Business Name(s). Out of State Vendors are required to submit a 587/590 Form. The County reserves the right to: Request a sample for determining equality with the specified brand. Waive, at its discretion, any non-material defects, irregularity, or informality, which County deems correctable or otherwise not warranting rejection of the bid that do not result in any unfair competitive advantage.
