Main Street Slope Stabilization Project, a landscaping and hillside stabilization project to eliminate erosion of the slope at the intersection of S. Main Street and National Road, just west of the Englewood Dam. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Project completion is no later than June 1, 2026. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Montgomery County as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. The City of Englewood reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. Bidders shall submit a bid guaranty in the form of either: a) a bond, in the form (faxed copies are unacceptable) issued by a surety company or corporation licensed by the State of Ohio to provide said surety, said bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount; or b) a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Upon bid award, prior to execution of a contract, a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount will be required.
