Renovation of an educational facility in McLeansville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
To furnish all materials and labor for the roof replacement of Northeast Guilford High School McLeansville, NC. A brief description of work in the project follows: 1. Low Slope Roof Replacement: Areas A, D & I-M a. Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to their steel deck. b. Secure the existing steel deck to structural framing members. c. Provide Gyspum Substrate loose laid. d. Provide 2' Roof Insulation mechanically attached. e. Provide 2" Roof Insulation adhered in foam adhesive. f. Provide Cover Board adhered in foam adhesive. g. Fully adhere felt-back thermoplastic single ply membrane along with flashings and accessories. h. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. i. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly. 2. Low Slope Roof Replacement: Area G a. Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the lightweight concrete deck. b. Provide base sheet mechanically attached to roof deck. c. Provide 2" Roof Insulation adhered in foam adhesive. d. Provide Tapered Insulation System adhered in foam adhesive e. Fully adhere felt-back thermoplastic single ply membrane along with flashings and accessories. f. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. g. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly. 3. Low Slope Roof Replacement: Area H a. Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the steel deck. b. Secure the existing steel deck to structural framing members. c. Provide Gyspum Substrate loose laid. d. Provide Tapered Insulation System mechanically attached. e. Provide Cover Board adhered in foam adhesive. f. Fully adhere felt-back thermoplastic single ply membrane along with flashings and accessories. g. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. h. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly. 4. Low Slope Roof Replacement: Area B1 a. Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the concrete deck. b. Provide vapor retarder. c. Provide Tapered Insulation System loose laid. d. Provide Cover Board adhered in foam adhesive. e. Fully adhere felt-back thermoplastic single ply membrane along with flashings and accessories. f. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. g. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly. 5. Low Slope Roof Replacement: Areas B2 a. Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the steel deck. b. Secure the existing steel deck to structural framing members. c. Provide Gyspum Substrate mechanically attached. d. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly. A 5% bid security as well as a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. General Contractors must have a general license classification for at least UNLIMITED BUILDING or S (ROOFING) in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled "Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses" must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation. E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S. law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States - either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.) The Guilford County Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicapped condition as defined by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities. The goals set for participation by MWBE firms as subcontractors have been set at 12.46%. The GCS goal for goods and services has been set at 10%.
