This is the Citys solicitation process to acquire Design-Build services for a Design-Build project to replace approximately 3,559 linear feet (LF) of existing 24-inch Cement Mortar Lined and Coated Steel (CMLCS) water mains with 16-inch Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) water mains, construct approximately 2,662 LF of new 16-inch PVC water mains and 341 LF of new 12-inch PVC water mains, and abandonment of approximately 406 LF of existing Steel Cylinder Rod Wrapped (SCRW) and Asbestos Cement (AC) water mains, and abandonment of 3,840 LF of existing PVC water service. In addition, water improvements will also include the installation of a Pressure Reducing Station (PRS) and replacement of all associate water services, fire hydrants, valves, water meters, and other appurtenances. The project includes the installation of 3 curb ramps, the replacement of an active water meter and associated lateral, the installation of 3 new water services, highline phasing plans, and permitting and coordination with the City of San Diego Public Utility Department (PUD) and Santa Fe Irrigation District (SFID). Due to the project site located near Multi-Habitat Planning Areas (MHPA), the project will require monitoring services, to meet all land use and environmental regulations.
