The Georgia Department of Transportation (Gdot) is Seeking a Pre-qualified Firm Interested in Providing Demolition and Removal of Improvements, Structures or Other Encumbrances in the Right of Way or Easement Areas. The winning firm will be notified in writing via email and must provide the required Performance and Payment Bond within five (5) business days of receiving the Notice of Award (NOA). The Performance and Payment Bond shall be provided to the Department in the amount of 100 percent (%) of the total bid price, utilizing the Department's form, GDOT Form-SP404, Performance and Payment Bonds, effectively securing the Contractor's obligations to perform the Services hereunder and to ensure that payments owed to subcontractors approved by the Department are made with respect to performance of portions of the services. If the Contractor does not provide the required Performance and Payment Bond form by the deadline, the Contractor may be deemed "non-responsive" and the Department may rescind the award and purchaser order. At that point, the next lowest bidder will be notified via e-mail of the Department's intent to accept the next lowest bid and the five (10) business day requirement to provide the Performance and Payment Bond will be upheld.
