The City seeks to enter into contract with competent and responsive contractors to provide snow plowing removal and sand & salt application services at various school locations within the City of Hartford as required for the 2016 snow season which begins in October and ends in April. The City seeks a one-year contract with up to three options to extend. Awarded provider must also comply with the City of Hartford's Living Wage requirements. No Contract or Purchase Order, regardless of how procured, shall be awarded to any Person or Candidate that is not an equal opportunity employer. The successful respondent, as a condition of being awarded this contract shall agree to comply with all contractual Equal Employment Opportunity /Affirmative Action performance requirements as outlined herein. A certificate of insurance must be presented to the City prior to Contract. The certificate must name the City as an additional insured on the face of the document, must name the City as the Certificate Holder, and must bear the original signature of an authorized Agent for the Producer. All policies must be written per attached requirements. The Provider is responsible for the cost of maintaining such insurance throughout the duration of the project. The successful respondent will owe no taxes nor have any outstanding financial obligations due the City.
