The project involves providing complete architectural and engineering (A/E) design services for the rehabilitation of approximately 10,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains at the historic York Campus of the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS). The scope includes the rehabilitation and/or replacement of exterior sanitary sewer systems such as mains, manholes, and service connections. Specific tasks include detailed imaging of the system, cured-in-place pipe lining, point repairs, main replacements, gradient mitigation, installation of interceptors, manhole rehabilitation or replacement, castings, pump/lift stations, and grinders to ensure a fully functional sewer system. Limited work may also be required beneath buildings to repair or properly size sewer mains and services. The design services will encompass electrical, sanitary, civil, mechanical, structural, and industrial hygiene disciplines. The awarded A/E firm will be responsible for preparing detailed contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, cost estimates, and providing services throughout construction. The design must include bid deduct alternates totaling at least 20% of the approved construction budget and comply with all applicable VA standards and codes.
