The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction of two new pedestrian crosswalk improvements. The first location is at S. Heathwood Drive at Andalusia Terrace, where the work includes furnishing and installing a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) on the south leg of S. Heathwood Drive at Andalusia Terrace, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks with detectable warnings, removal of an existing culvert pipe, furnishing and installing a new culvert pipe with mitered end sections, furnishing and installing two streetlights, furnishing and installing signs, and placement of thermoplastic pavement markings at the intersection. The second location is Barfield Drive, between Piedmont Court and Wavecrest Court, where the work includes furnishing and installing Pedestrian Activated Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at a mid-block crosswalk, furnishing and installing culvert pipes with mitered end sections, removal of existing concrete sidewalk, placement of new concrete sidewalk with detectable warnings, furnishing and installing streetlights, furnishing and installing signs, and placement of thermoplastic pavement markings.
