Renovation of a municipal facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade municipal facility.
Refit of one (1) courtroom and three (3) judges offices at the Law Courts Building. The scope of work includes but is not limited to, refreshing three (3) judicial chambers (paint, carpet, blinds, furniture), refitting one (1) library to include book storage and, if feasible, a kitchenette, upgrading one (1) judicial chamber and washroom to be fully accessible, refreshing one (1) courtroom, upgrading millwork and accessibility, and converting it into a state-of-the-art e-Courtroom for hybrid and virtual hearings. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from consultants is currently underway. This procurement has security requirements. Scope of work and timelines for design and construction may be confirmed following award of the contract. *Budget is unreleased.
