The Kane County Division of Transportation has recognized the need for improvement at the intersection of Burlington Road and Silver Glen Road and will undergo a Phase I engineering study to upgrade the existing 4-way stop controlled intersection. The Consultant will provide Phase I/II Engineering for the aforementioned intersection in Campton Hills. The study will span from approximately 4300 ft North of the intersection along Burlington Road to 5500 ft South of the intersection, and from 1025 ft East along Silver Glen to 2250 ft West. Phase I, Phase II, and Construction will likely be locally funded, but will follow the same process and guidelines as the Federal Aid process. This project will be completed under applicable IDOT guidelines including BLR and BDE manuals, and KDOT standards. The project is included in the County's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 8, 2025, engineering phase 1-3 2025-2027, engineer selected. Construction in 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
