Site work for a development in West Memphis, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade development.
The work consists generally of mopping out the ditch to remove grass islands and vegetation. No ditch widening is required, although woody growth is to be removed from the working ditch bank. No trees need to be removed. Much of the ditch is only accessible from one bank so extended boom excavator, drag lines, or swamp buggy excavator will be needed. All debris is to be removed off-site. The City does not have a disposal site. The work zone is approximately 1.25 linear miles in length. City of West Memphis 10 Mile Bayou Removal of Grassy Islands and Vegetation General Work Area All bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the type of work specified as required by the State of Arkansas. An electronic copy of the bid package, which includes a map and photos, may be requested. The City of West Memphis reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject bids in its sole discretion for any reason, and to postpone the award of the contract for a period that shall not exceed beyond 60 days from the bid opening date.
