The Municipal District of Fairview No. 136, as the authority for the construction and maintenance of roadside rights-of-way within its boundaries, is seeking proposals for the provision of roadside ditch mowing services for the purpose of completing a full ditch mow of approximately 1046 total ditch miles once yearly to the minimum standard established by the Municipal District. Vendors are invited to submit a Proposal for the provision of roadside ditch mowing services as set out in RFP No. AG-01-25. The Services shall consist of: - A full ditch mow on all Municipal rights-of-way, where possible (exempting washouts and large trees), totaling approximately 1046 ditch miles. - Mowing of vegetation to a height not to exceed 10 cm (4 inches) above the ground. Vegetation to be mowed includes all grasses, weeds, brush and small trees in and along the Municipality's rights-of-way. The maximum size of trees required to be cut shall be 5 cm (two inches) in diameter, measured 10 cm (four inches) above the ground line. All mowing shall be performed in such a manner that it results in a stand of mowed growth, which is acceptable to the Municipal District. The term of any agreement executed from shall be for a period of three (3) years the commencement date of which shall be deemed to be January 1st, 2026 to December 31st, 2028 with the option of a mutually agreeable contract extension of up to an additional two (2) years between the proponent and the Municipal District, unless the agreement is earlier terminated by the municipality.
