SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY: This project is located at 1800 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102. The work will take place within the 7 Story Tower and Trauma Building of University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. As a part of the scope of the project, the existing traction elevators will be completely replaced and/or refurbished to meet current safety standards, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience. This project is anticipated to include demolition. All questions/requests for clarification related to this Bid must be received in the NGEM system no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025. OWNER aims to issue any necessary Addenda by close of business Friday, November 14, 2025. However, OWNER reserves the right to issue Addenda after said date. ESTIMATED COST 5,151,687.20 Scope of Work The scope of this project involves the complete modernization of the existing traction elevators, T1, T2, S4, S5, S5A, P2 and P3 at UMC. This will include replacement and/or refurbishment of components to meet current safety standards, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience. Key activities will include: Removal and demolition of existing elevators to include: careful extraction of existing elevator components designated for replacement, proper disposal of debris and old equipment in accordance with regulations, and demolition and removal of existing structures, where necessary, to accommodate new installations. Installation of new or refurbished components to include: o Replacement of old controls with modern microprocessor-based systems for enhanced speed, efficiency, and reliability o Installation of energy-efficient motors and drive systems. o Inspection, updating, and installation of fire and smoke alarms, emergency power systems, and ensuring that the system meets current safety and code requirements, including, but not limited to, ASME A17.1, ANSI A117.1 Barrier Free Code, ADA, and National Electrical Code. o Modernization of buttons, floor indicators, and key switches inside the car and in each lobby to improve user experience and meet ADA requirements. o Upgrading and replacing door operators, car door hangers, car door contacts, door protective devices, and hoist way door interlocks. o Refurbishment or replacement of interior finishes of the elevator cars, including wall panels, ceilings, and flooring. o Replacement of worn or defective parts, such as car frames, safety mechanisms, platforms, guide shoes, and emergency car lighting, as specified in the modernization plans.
