Reference Number 0000305710 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/11/03 03:00:00 PM EST The welder fabricator will provide high-quality welding and fabrication services to support the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including damages, fabrication of structures, parts, frames, and supports, as well as snow blowers, plows, and other heavy equipment. The contractor shall perform the following services: 1. Welding and fabrication Perform various welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW) on heavy equipment components, including steel and aluminum Fabricate new parts, components, and structures for heavy equipment, including frames, supports, and brackets Repair and modify existing heavy equipment components, including damages and wear repairs 2. Heavy equipment maintenance and repair Support maintenance and repair activities for heavy equipment, including snow blowers, plows, and other equipment Identify and troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues on heavy equipment Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective repairs 3. Fabrication of custom parts and components Design and fabricate custom parts and components for heavy equipment, including snow blowers and plows Work with maintenance personnel to determine requirements and specifications for custom parts 4. Quality control Ensure all welding and fabrication work meets quality standards and specifications Inspect work for defects and ensure compliance with safety regulations Complete WO in Maximo for all work performed on site by Contractor. 5. Engineering Drawings as Required Includes reading, interpreting, and preparing technical drawings and schematics for custom parts and structural components. Collaboration with the GTAA team is required to define specifications and ensure alignment with operational requirements. Drawings must meet applicable standards and support fabrication and repair activities. May involve updates to existing drawings or creation of new documentation to support modifications and repairs.
