Renovation of a mixed-use development in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 8,103-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and swimming pool.

This project provides for the renovation of the existing men's and women's restrooms and locker rooms at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park Pool and Recreation facility in Louisville, KY. The work involves renovation of men's and women's restrooms on the main level and locker room facilities, removal and replacement of all plumbing fixtures, faucets, flush valves, hangers and supports, floor drains and related accessories. It also includes removal and replacement of all waste and vent piping, including all underground sanitary waste and vent piping, removal and replacement of all domestic hot, cold and hot water return piping including water heaters and main service backflow preventer, and provision of trench drain covers for the existing drain troughs. Additionally, there will be preparation of flooring for new resinous flooring, preparation of walls in the restrooms and locker rooms for new paint, removal and replacement of existing ceilings, new moisture-resistant lay-in ceilings in the locker room areas, new ADA casework, shrouds and undermount lavatories, construction of new block walls to separate shower stalls in the Men's shower room, provision of power for mechanical equipment and plumbing water heaters and associated equipment, demolition and reuse of existing power circuits for new lighting, demolition and reuse of existing power circuits for newly installed receptacles, addition of new power for hand dryers as required, modification of existing power panels as required, removal of existing locker room/restroom energy recovery ventilator DX cooling coil and associated equipment, and provision of new duct-mounted DX heat pump coil, refrigerant heat recovery dehumidification coil, refrigerant piping, condensate drain piping, remote air-cooled heat recovery heat pump, and direct digital controls for locker room/restroom HVAC. This project provides for the renovation of the existing men's and women's restrooms and locker rooms at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park Pool and Recreation facility, Louisville KY The work scope will involve the following features: o Renovation of men's and women's restrooms on the main level. o Renovation of men's and women's locker room facilities. o Removal and replacement of all plumbing fixtures, faucets, flush valves, hangers and supports, floor drains and related accessories. o Removal and replacement of all waste and vent piping including all underground sanitary waste and vent piping. o Removal and replacement of all domestic hot, cold and hot water return piping including water heaters and main service backflow preventer. o Provide trench drain covers for the existing drain troughs. o Preparation of flooring for new resinous flooring. o Preparation of walls in the restrooms and locker rooms for new paint. o Removal and replacement of existing ceilings in the restrooms and locker rooms. New ceilings in the locker room areas will be moisture resistant lay-in type. o Providing new ADA casework, shrouds and undermount lavatories for restrooms and locker rooms. o Construction of new block walls to separate shower stalls in the Men's shower room. o Provide power for mechanical equipment and plumbing water heaters and associated equipment. o Demo existing light fixtures and reuse existing power circuits for new lighting fixtures in newly remodeled areas. o Demo existing receptacles and reuse existing power circuits for newly installed receptacles in newly remodeled areas. o Add new power for hand dryers as required. o Modify existing power panels as required for new mechanical/plumbing equipment. o Remove existing locker room/restroom energy recovery ventilator DX cooling coil, remote air-cooled condensing unit, refrigerant piping, condensate drain piping, electronic controls. o Provide new duct-mounted DX heat pump coil, refrigerant heat recovery dehumidification coil, refrigerant piping, condensate drain piping, remote air-cooled heat recovery heat pump, and direct digital controls for locker room/restroom HVAC. The Recreation Building at Ep Tom Sawyer State Park Was Constructed in 1973 And Has Only Received Limited Upgrades and Renovations Since That Time. The Building Has Now Been in Service for Over 50 Years and in Need of Some Significant Infrastructure Improvements. This Project Will Address the Following Scope Items: Ada Accessibility at All Public Toilet/shower Facilities; Replace All Existing Plumbing Fixtures and Underground Sanitary Piping; Redesign the Shower Spaces; Replace the Majority of the Building ’s Lighting System With New Led Fixtures; Evaluate the Building ’s Hvac Systems and Provide Recommendations and Cost; Replace or Refinish Flooring in the Renovated Areas; Repaint Walls and Hard Ceilings in the Renovated Areas; Replace Select Ceilings.
