Sealed bids will be accepted for the Sioux Rapids Health Clinic Flood Recovery CDBG, located in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. The work to be performed is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968, as amended, and the Davis-Bacon Related Acts. The project is being funded by a federal grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and federal regulations apply. Bids must be made on the official bid forms provided by the Architect and enclosed in a separate sealed envelope, plainly identified and addressed to the City of Sioux Rapids. Fax and email bids will not be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or certified share draft in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked "Bid Bond" or "Bid Security", in an amount equal to five percent of the bid total. The bid bond must be executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the State of Iowa and must not contain any conditions either in the body or as an endorsement thereon. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, re-advertise for new bids, and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. Contract documents defining the proposed improvements have been prepared by Cannon Moss Brygger & Associates, d/b/a CMBA Architects, and are part of the proposed contract. A public hearing will be conducted on the proposed plans and specifications, the proposed form of contract and estimated cost for the Sioux Rapids Health Clinic, (the "Project"), located in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. The public hearing will take place at a meeting of the City Council (the "Council'), held at 100 Front St., Sioux Rapids, Iowa 50585 at 6:30 P.M., on Wednesday, November 12 th , 2025. Summary Project Description: BUILT IN 1997, THE EXISTING SIOUX RAPIDS FAMILY CARE, A MEDICAL CLINIC, WAS BADLY DAMAGED DURING THE JUNE 2024 FLOOD EVENT. THE BUILDING IS OWNED BY THE SIOUX RAPIDS 2000 INC., WITH THE SPENCER HOSPITAL PROVIDING SERVICES FOR THE CLINIC. THE PROJECT INCLUDES THE REHABILITATION OF THE BUILDING, INCLUDING ARCHITECTURAL, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICAL ELEMENTS. ENCLOSING THE ENTRANCE VESTIBULE IS BEING PROPOSED AS AN ALTERNATE.. B.
